Call for Posters for 2014 Great Lakes Wetlands Day

Our event will be featuring a Poster Session, designed to showcase wetland research in Ontario. Presentations by university students, non-government organizations and government agencies are encouraged. General topics of interest include but are not limited to: Science needs to support wetland conservation; Wetland threats and losses; Effectiveness of wetland policies and guidelines; Stewardship, education, awareness and outreach; Wetland inventory, classification, mapping and evaluation; Wetland restoration, mitigation and impact assessment; Economic incentive programs; Water Quality and Quantity; Climate Change; Ecosystem Services; Urban wetlands; and Biogeochemistry of wetlands.

The deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended to Friday, January 3rd, 2014. Successful projects will be notified by Wednesday, January 8th, 2014.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 250 words and include a description of the goal of the project or research question under consideration, the study approach, the methodology, and the results or anticipated results of the study. The abstract should also include a statement regarding the possible outcomes in terms of its impact on wetlands.
